This is a floating fountain pump that requires about three or more feet of water depth. This unique floating solar fountain pump kit solves many of the common problems people encounter when installing fountains in their ponds.

Key advantages
Floats on the surface, so it does not need to sit on a flat area at the bottom of the pond
Does not need to be raised closer to the surface
Will not topple over
Rises and falls automatically as the water level changes

Weight and build quality
The complete 50W kit weighs over twenty two pounds when boxed
The complete 100W kit weighs over thirty four pounds and ships in two boxes
The pump itself weighs over seven pounds
More than five times heavier and more robust than many competing products

Available models
50W model
Maximum output of about 900 gallons per hour (GPH)
Includes two 25W solar panels
100W model
Maximum output of about 1,300 GPH
Includes two 50W solar panels

What each complete kit includes
The pump
Two solar panels
Panel stands
Thirty two feet of cable
Cable can be extended using our extenders sold here
All necessary wiring
Bag, string, and hook to anchor the pump exactly where you want it
Requires sunshine or at least very hazy cloud cover to operate

Pond requirements and fountain patterns
Best for ponds ten by ten feet or larger
Water should be at least three feet deep where the pump is placed
Includes three fountain spray patterns including higher spray options
Includes an adapter that creates a smooth water dome
Dome pattern can be adjusted to widen the shape

Aeration considerations
Compare the pump’s gallons per hour with the total volume of gallons in your pond or lake
A lake one acre in size and three feet deep holds about one million gallons
A pump producing about one thousand three hundred gallons per hour may move six to eight thousand gallons on a sunny day
Many lake owners choose the 100W model mainly for its appearance rather than for aeration
For significant lake aeration we offer a much more powerful solar powered lake aerator
You can view it here:

Optional battery
Runs the fountain for seven to ten hours after sunset
Reduces gallons per hour by about twenty percent
Requires one to two hours of sunshine in the morning before the pump will operate
Will not provide extra runtime if there is no sun
Small battery powers the 50W model
Large battery powers the 100W model
