  • COMPATIBILITY: This battery is specifically designed to work with My Natural Pond products including the MNP SP50 Waterfall Pump, MNP FF50 Floating Fountain Pump and the SF70 Fixed (to the floor of the pond) Fountain Pump. For 100W solar pumps you will need the larger battery. No battery can be used with the MNP SP 25 Waterfall Pump. Please review the product details below carefully as we wish to set clear expectations as to how the battery will perform.   • IMPACT ON PERFORMANCE: When used with this battery, solar pumps operate at 12V instead of the standard 18V. This reduces the maximum head height from approximately 10 feet to 6 feet and the Gallons Per Hour (GPH) by about 20%. The "maximum head" is the vertical distance from the water surface to the highest point of your waterfall. Max Head will not impact the performance of the fountain pumps but for use with a waterfall please keep the height below four feet.

  • BATTERY CHARGING AND OPERATION: The battery may require 1-2 hours of sunlight each morning to fully charge. Once charged, it can power the pump for 8-10 hours after sunset. Please note: the pump will not run, and the battery will not charge, if sunlight is insufficient. If you have an overcast day nothing will run. For a partly sunny day and assuming the battery get some early sunshine it may run all day even as clouds block the sun but by evening may not have any power left to run after sunset. Performance may vary based on location and season.

  • LONG-LASTING LITHIUM BATTERY: Built with a durable lithium battery that lasts approximately three years with daily use. After this time, the internal battery may need replacement.

  • PLACEMENT AND OPTIONS: Supplied with a 16-foot cable extender, the battery must be placed in the shade for optimal protection. While weather-resistant, the battery should never be submerged in water to ensure its longevity. An LED light is available for use with both batteries. In use it can reduce the extra run time by an hour.  The LED will light up when it gets dark and stay on until the battery is depleted.  It is supplied with 16 feet of wire can be placed underwater.  You can see the LED here:LED light for use with battery backup – My Natural Pond
