There are many aerators available for ponds owners.  We tested most of the major brands for months before selecting Matala.  Most pond aerators leave you to find the right connectors, tubing and one or more diffusers to complete the installation.  Get one component wrong and you may damage the aerator.  You may spend too much wasting money or too little and fail to generate enough air.  Our range of complete aerator kits all use Hakko liner air pumps.  These exceptional pumps are very quiet, low power consumption, completely oil free, with overload protection for overheat situations.  They are both UL and CE listed for outdoor use.

This complete air kit is perfect for small ponds under 2000 gallons. The 6 watt dual outlet air pump is capable of pumping out 9.5 liters of air per minute. This is the equivalent of .34 cu. ft. per minute / 580 cu. in. per minute! The high quality silicone air discs are self-weighted and self-righting! They always land right side up! And they are super easy to clean!


This aerator should be situated on a brick or anything that would keep the bottom of the unit from getting wet. If possible please protect the unit from the elements perhaps using a plastic box with room for it to get plenty of air. You have 60 feet of tubing in the box. We suggest cutting the tubing down to the size you need. Having extra tubing you are not using puts an unnecessary strain on the pump. The diffusers can work at depths up to six feet but if possible they will perform better at 2-4 feet. All these points help the pump deliver the most air and extend its life.
